The Special 86th edition of the Know India Programme (KIP), organized by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), will be held from 09 January 2026 to 28 January 2026.
The KIP is a flagship initiative. of the MEA designed to connect Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) aged 21–35 years with their ancestral roots while showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage and its remarkable recent developments. Since its inception in 2003–04, 83 editions of KIP have been successfully conducted, with 2,999 youth PIOs participating from around the world. The 84th edition is currently underway, and the 85th edition is scheduled from 06–27 January 2026.
The upcoming 86th edition will be unique, mirroring the special format of the 85th edition. In collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, participants of this edition will be able to attend the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD), held alongside the National Youth Festival on 12 January 2026.

A total of 40 youth PIO members in the 21–35 years age group will be invited to participate in this 3-week programme, which aims to reconnect them with their Indian heritage while inspiring and encouraging them to contribute meaningfully to India’s transformative journey toward Viksit Bharat 2047.
